THE WAR OF INDEPENDENTS CONTINUES.....

Next week the Dame will be announcing the names of two more Independent candidates.
One in Royal Hospital Ward and the other in Colville.

  1. Colville? Why Colville? It's hardly natural Tory territory.

    1. Colville is the home ground of Cllr Caruana and Cllr O'Neill. The failure of democracy that currently pervades The Royal Borough is not the monopoly of the Conservatives. Labour has failed to mount an effective opposition, residents have been underwhelmed by the pathetic non presence of the hopeless Lib Dems, and Labour and Lib Dems have even been too dim to team up and give the puerile and self serving Tories a run for their money.

  2. We all know that O'Neill is the original champagne socialist. Lives in a Council flat and rents out his private properties for profit. And runs an art supply business for his posh mates in the Royal Borough's Conservative Council. A nice little earner funded by council tax. This is great territory for Independents to wade into and blow apart. Just like Farage did on TV last night with the hopeless Clegg

  3. If O'Neil stands we are told Labour will reveal why he lost the whip.

Personally I can't wait. Stand Dodgy Dez! Please stand!

    1. How can a Councillor lose the whip and continue to stand as a Labour Councillor? If the guy is a scamp then we should be told. There is not enough transparency in K&C politics.

    2. WASP, he is no longer in the Labour Group, so isn't a Labour Councillor. He may be a member of the Labour party, but on the Council he sits on his own in the back benches, friendless and alone.

Mind you, he is probably still doing deals with Nick PB, who unaccountably respects him and thinks Labour have been nasty and vindictive ... but he doesn't know what Dodgy did, and this will only come out if he stands. I was told this was the agreement made at the Disciplinary. So we'll only know what happened if he stands!

    3. Rumours of receipt of Tory financial patronage while pretending to be a Labour councillor are emerging.

    4. Whipless and the trendy arts scene? Cracking, cracking!

    5. It is a great misjudgment that Labour have decided to "cover up" for Councillor O'Neill and not inform the voting public what he has got up to, in their name, over the past few years.
Looks like RBKC Labour Group think they can treat residents with the same contempt as the Ruling Party.
So c'mon Blakeman - out with the truth.......

  4. Can we stop this 'cracking, cracking' please. Its really boring!

  5. Surely the real issue is why it took Labour so many years to divest themselves of the notorious O'Neil. His greatest achievement was his ability to extract large sums of public money from the Tories. In fact they fell over themselves to give it to him. Now, unless he chooses to stand again, Labour will keep his dark secrets. This shows us all we need to know about Labour and its priorities. The public has a right to know what Labour have on him.

  9. Which is Moylan's ward and what was his electoral majority?

He's by far the most dangerous of the lot and he's awaiting his opportunity. He lurks in the background like a spider in his web. Beware of Moylan.

  10. "Dangerous" why?

  11. Because every time members of the Hornet Team have engaged with him - He has intellectually smashed them.

    2. Cllr Moylan has lost considerable weight over the last few months. Clearly his Weigh Watchers programme the Dame recommended to him is working.
The Dame has warned him in the past about his obesity, heavy drinking and smoking: at last it seems he has heeded her advice.
She now plans to enrol him in her Astanga yoga and meditation class.
She hopes that he might meditate on how he was supplanted in the leadership stakes and whether he needs to look at how he engages with people. No one disputes that Mr Moylan is a very clever chap. He can, when he considers it worth his while, be very charming and amusing.
But there is an insecure side to his nature and this is his Achilles Heel: he just doesn't know how to be nice to those intellectually inferior to him.
It was always said of Margaret Thatcher that she was an appalling bully to those holding power, but gentle and compassionate to those without power and influence. Harken to the old Dame, Cllr Moylan.....
